Wine Review: This light red colored Pinot Noir from MacRostie opens with a violet and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of black coffee, pomegranate, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is red plum and loam blend with notes of cola and red raspberry. We also detected hints of pine resin, clove, and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins last for a while. Winemaker Notes: The 2022 Wildcat Mountain Pinot Noir displays an opulent color density and alluring aromas of sweet plum and rich, ripe boysenberry, underscored by notes of roasted coffee and toasty oak. On the entry, it is powerful and expressive, with flowing tannins and robust flavors of blackberry, black cherry, bramble, and black tea that dance across the palate.
