Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from MacRostie opens with a white peach and baked pear bouquet with hints of light oak, stone dust, and pastry dough. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh. The flavor profile is mild pineapple and pear blend with notes of nectarine and light oak. We also detected hints of mild ginger, lemon, and butterscotch. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with baked dover sole and my pear salad. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Combining beautiful richness and energy, this wine offers expressions of apricot and kumquat, with sophisticated notes of perfume, minerality, and a touch of pine. On the lush palate, there is viscous texture and tannin, leading to a finish reminiscent of a cinnamon powdered sugar donut and white flowers.
