Wine Review: This red colored Pinot Noir from MacRostie opens with a black raspberry, oak, and chocolate bouquet with hints of clove, mushrooms, bay leaf, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, and fresh with good tension. The flavor profile is a spiced black cherry and cedar blend with notes of cinnamon, red licorice, and tobacco. We also detected hints of red raspberry and mushroom tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. There are also mild chalky tannins present as well. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with a rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
