Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from McPrice Myers opens with a fragrant cranberry, pomegranate, and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of oak and iron filings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is prominent pomegranate and oolong tea blend with notes of tobacco, cranberry, and oak. I also detected hints of red plum, black pepper, and red licorice. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very drying tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel decant this wine for a while before serving it with a messy rack of ribs.
