Wine Review: This versatile French red blend is a great mid-week choice. It's a deep garnet color and has aromas of lavender, black currant, red cherry, and roasted meat in the bouquet. I found it to be juicy and fresh, medium bodied, with moderate acidity and good palate coverage. There are flavors of black pepper, ripe red plum, red raspberry, crushed stone, black tea, and a touch of cranberry. Moderate sticky tannins and a dry long finish, with some baking spice notes. Tagliatelle with bacon and mushrooms would go nicely. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: An intense wine with blackcurrant and raspberry notes complemented by notes of white pepper. The wine is juicy, powerful, and fruity on the palate with lovely roasted notes, and silky, delicate tannins. Pair with grilled roasted red and white meats. Perfect with pizza and pasta especially lamb ragu. Also enjoy with mild creamy and mature strong cheeses.
