Wine Review: This yellow colored Pinot Grigio from Napa opens with an attractive apple and pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a mild lemon with notes of gentle mineralty throughout. There is also a touch of lime mixed in as well. The finish is dry and it lingers nicely. This wine is a nice food wine and would pair well with chicken picatta. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Pinot Grigio is a light golden color. The nose is scented with grapefruit and pear, and on the palate orange fruits come to the forefront. Mango and orange zest are accented by notes of guava and a pronounced minerality. The wonderful acidity and full-bodied texture carry through a delicious lemony finish with hints of apricot. This wine will be at its peak from now through the end of 2010.
