Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Sangiovese based wine opens with a very fragrant currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of nutmeg and saddle leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a gravely mineral influenced cherry, stewed plum and oak blend with notes of black tea. There are also hints of Baker’s chocolate and slightly tart rhubarb in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. The Panel would pair this wine with Italian beef braciola or with veal osso buco. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The wine displays an intense, almost impenetrable, ruby red color. On the nose, the wine introduces itself with intense red fruits and subtle hints of incense and spicy notes that bequeath extraordinary complexity. In the mouth, the bouquet's complexity comes alive through elegant tannins that gift the wine with unique balance and structure.
