Wine Review: This ruby colored red wine from Tuscany is Excellent! It opens with an intense and inviting cherry vanilla and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, concentrated, rich and lush. The flavors profile is a delicious blueberry with notes of red cherry, minerality and gentle oak. I also detected hints of black currant and mint. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are sticky and show good length. This is a high class white that would be perfect with a well marble ribeye at your favorite steak house. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The color is a very concentrated purple-red. Wild berry fruit, such as blueberry, blackberry and black currant, is prominent on the nose, accompanied by spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg as well as traces of mint. Complex nuances of roasted mocha, fresh almonds and vanilla linger in the background. On the palate, the entry is soft and enticing, with an acidity that blends into the wine’s great structure and silky tannins. The flavour is persistent, offering a crescendo finish with a hint of minerals.
