Wine Review: This single vineyard offering from the Santa Maria Valley takes the delicate approach to Pinot Noir. It is a clear medium garnet color with a pink rim. Red fruits are displayed on the nose. Featuring red raspberry and ripe strawberry, with hints of violets and savory smokiness. On the palate, it is mouthwatering with a medium-minus body and medium-plus acidity. I also would it to be clean, delicate and straight forward. There are flavors of red plum, tangy pomegranate and hints of graphite and clove. The fine-grained tannins enhance the dry long finish. It would pair Pinot Noir with roasted Cornish game hens. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: This is a limited vintage from the highest Nine Acre block of the Goodchild Vineyard, an outstanding location to grow the superior clone 667. It displays bright red fruit with smooth tannins and a lingering finish. - Louis Lucas
