Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored red blend from Argentina is impressive. It opens with an appealing blueberry and mild oak bouquet. On the palate, with wine is full bodied, balanced, fruit forward, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty oak infused blueberry with notes of black pepper with a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with roasted Long Island duck breast with turnip. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of toasty oak, cassis and smoke. Cascades of red and blackcurrant fruit on the palate. Medium-bodied and classically structured with good density. The Cabernet fruit melds seamlessly with the Malbec, creating a well-structured and balanced blend with moderate tannins and a lengthy finish. This blend will pair well with any Cab-friendly dishes such as steak, pork, lamb, and strong cheeses. Can handle any dish with cream or butter sauces.
