Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a blackberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of oak and menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, balanced, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a black currant and fine crushed mineral blend with notes of oak, blackberry, and black jellybeans. I also detected hints stewed plum and a touch of dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its dusty fine-grained tannins build-up and linger for quite some time. This Cab paired very nicely with my ribeye steak. Enjoy – Ken & Mark
Winemaker Notes: Our 2018 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a boisterous wine with an assertive profile, offering ripe notes of black currant, plum, crushed fennel and cedar. Rich and rustic, this Cabernet features distinct brambly undertones and finishes memorably with structured, lingering tannins.
