Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa opens with a spearmint bouquet with hints of cherry-cola and black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, fruit forward and smooth. The flavor profile is an oak infused black currant with notes of minerality and a hint of black cherry. The finish is dry and its dusty chunky tannins stick around for quite some time. The panel suggested pairing the Cab with a well-marbled ribeye or braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2012 Louis M. Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a deep burgundy color and complex aromas of dark fruit, smoky cedar and dried herbs. Rich and broad in the mouth, our Napa Cabernet has an expansive mid-palate, silky tannins and sought-after balance. Finely etched flavors of black cherry and blackberry are framed by licorice and toast on the long finish.
