Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Carmenere opens with a red plum and mild pipe tobacco bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and slightly juicy. The flavor profile is a slightly smoky plum with notes of oak and some hints of gentle minerality and pomegranate in the aftertaste. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are friendly. This Carmenere is versatile and would be a nice weekday offering. I would pair it with your favorite juicy burger. Enjoy - Ken
