Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark ruby colored blend from Los Vascos opens with a black olive and blackberry bouquet with hints of green pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced and savory. The flavor profile is similar to the nose. It features a black olive and cedar blend with notes of blackberry, green pepper. I also detected hints of Oolong tea and herbs mixed in. This Old-World style wine was built for food. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Le Dix 2015 has a beautiful ruby red color. Gorgeous aromas of raspberry and ripe cherry intermingle with notes of black pepper, cocoa, walnut skin, graphite, tobacco, and cedar. On the palate, this magnificently balanced wine presents a harmonious structure, with refined tannins. A truly elegant offering.
