Wine Review: This Cabernet Sauvignon from Colchagua is opaque garnet in color and opens with aromas of wet slate, black tea and eucalyptus oil. The body is medium-plus and the flavor profile carries mentholated black raspberry and cassis. It is listed at only 14% ABV, but it feels racier in the mouth. The finish is long and strong with dusty tannins and uplifting acidity that do not chase away the fruit. This Cab not only delivers in the value category, it will stand up to Old World wines at three to four times the price. Enjoy this with steak tips or a good cigar. - Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Intense ruby red color. The nose is rich in fruit aromas, offering fresh plums, cherries, and ripe raspberries followed by pleasant blackcurrant notes. Fruit aromas mingle harmoniously with hints of licorice and white pepper. The palate is fresh and juicy, with remarkably well-balanced acidity, alcohol, and tannins. A wine with a delightfully captivating personality.
