Wine Review: This translucent straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa opens with an attractive tropical fruit bouquet of pineapples, mango, and guava. On the palate, it is medium bodied, smooth, crisp, and refreshing. The flavor profile is primarily citrus including lemon and lime with hints of peaches, coconut and green apple. The acidity is refreshing, mouthwatering and beautifully balanced. The finish is polished, slightly dry and exhibits a touch of pink grapefruit that appear before it fades away nicely. I very much enjoyed this Sauvignon Blanc and I believe it will be a great late spring or summer sipper slightly chilled! If not enjoying it on its own, I would pair with marinated grilled skewered shrimp. – Joe
