Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Grenache based wine opens with a fragrant black raspberry and black licorice bouquet with hints of black olive and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and robust. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and stewed black plum blend with notes of black licorice and oak. I also detected hints of black pepper and loam. The finish is dry and its flavors, acidity, and big boy tannins build-up and stick around for a very long time. I would decant this red blend for a while, as that nicely settles the tannins down over time. Then I would serve it with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
