Wine Review: The dark ruby colored Zinfandel opens with a toasted oak and blackberry coulis bouquet with hints of black raspberry tea and pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, seamless, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is ripe brambly blackberry and oolong tea blend with notes of black licorice nips and oak. I also detected hints of crushed stone and black plum. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and its mild tannins drift away nicely. This refined Zin would pair well with marinated grilled skirt steak. Enjoy – Ken
