Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and dark red colored Grenache based red blend from Limerick Lane opens with a strawberry and red raspberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon and peonies. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is stony minerality and red plum blend with notes of pink Good n’ Plenty. We also picked up some hints of light dried strawberry, green tea, and sage. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with porchetta. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Introducing the 2021 Rocks & Fog! This exceptional blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, and Petite Sirah is a true reflection of the magical place it hails from. Inspired by the rocks below ground and the fog above, this wine exudes a stony, black pepper quality that beautifully interplays with its rich fruited yet lifted mouthfeel. The aromatics are captivating and expressive, with notes of raspberry, blackberry, tobacco, leather, plum, cherry, and earth. On the palate, this wine is focused, intense, and mouth-watering, showcasing its serious and contemplative nature. With medium tannins, fresh acidity, and a long finish, this Sonoma County appellation wine is deserving of time and age in the bottle. Get ready to experience a world-class wine that truly embodies the essence of its terroir.
