Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a brambly black raspberry bouquet with hints of loam and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, round, savory and bright. The flavor profile is a black raspberry and blackberry blend with notes of flinty minerality and black licorice. I detected hints of black cherry, clove, and cinnamon. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and well-managed moderate tannins fade away nicely. This Zin benefits from a little aeration, so decant it before serving it with beef shish kabobs. Enjoy – Ken
