Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Zinfandel based wine from Limerick Lane opens with a strawberry bubble gum and cherry-cola bouquet with hints of pencil shavings and red plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and rich. The flavor profile is concentrated black raspberry and oak blend with notes of stony minerality and red currant. We also detected hints of black cherry and mild cranberry. The finish is dry and its pronounced grippy tannins stick around for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would decant this wine for at least an hour. Then we would recommend serving it with duck confit, Korean barbecue, and a cigar. Enjoy - KWGTP
