Wine Review: This dark ruby Zinfandel based blend opens with a mild pomegranate and gentle craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, mouthwatering, and savory. The flavor profile is a spiced stewed plum with notes of gentle pomegranate and strawberry rhubarb. I also detected hints of oak, stony minerality, blueberry and a touch of loam in the mix. The finish is dry, and its medium tannins are nicely prolonged. This red blend is food friendly, especially after some aeration. I would decant it for a bit and serve it with grilled Angus steak tips or your favorite bistro burger. Enjoy - Ken
