Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Zinfandel based blend is very good. It opens with a stewed plum and blackberry bramble bouquet with hints of floral. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is smooth, seamless, and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is blackberry and strawberry rhubarb blend with notes of herbal tea, cherry, and mild crushed stone. We also detected hints of Chinese 5-spice, dark chocolate, and cranberry in the mix. The finish is dry and flavors and gentle tannins fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel feel this Zin will appeal to Pinot fans. We would pair this Zin with a pulled pork shoulder, a carnitas burrito, or a braised veal chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
