Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Zinfandel based wine opens with a gentle boysenberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of leather and matchstick. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with very nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is super smooth and silky. We also found it to be refined and well-balanced. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle black currant, black plum, and stony minerality blend. We also detected hints black pepper, black tea, and mild oak. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin blend with Grandma’s homemade lasagna or with a roast beef tenderloin with a red wine sauce. Enjoy – KWGTP
