Wine Review: This pale purple colored Zinfandel opens a gentle black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of spiced plum and violet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and very juicy. The flavor profile is a stony mineral influenced stewed black plum with notes of oak, anise and black tea. We also detected some hints of orange peel twist, black raspberry and cola mixed in. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins and some spicy flavors linger nicely. The Panel would pair this Zin with duck confit, beef brisket or meatloaf. Enjoy – KWGTP
