Wine Review: This medium purple colored Teroldego-Lagrein blend opens with black plum and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and smooth. The flavor profile is a juicy black plum with notes of herbal tea, craisin and crushed stone minerality. I also detected hints of pomegranate. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins linger for quite some time. This was my second Teroldego based wine of the day. Come to find out, it was made by the same winemaker. Both were very good. I would pair this one blended with Lagrein with a pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A unique blend of varietals typically grown in Northern Italy, this wine is deep dark purple in color and boasts notes of blackberry and grilled plum. Decant to open up its aromas.
