Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Petite Sirah based wine from the Central Coast opens with a boysenberry and ripe blackberry bouquet with notes of black tea and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and smooth. However, it is also bright, and fresh for a Petite Sirah based wine. The flavor profile is a blackberry and cassis blend with note of black licorice and black currant. There are also hints of stony minerality and tea.
