Wine Review: This sparkling Chenin Blanc from the Clarksburg AVA in CA is a golden yellow color with moderate amounts of medium bubbles. There's inviting aromas of toasted almonds, sourdough bread, lime zest and ripe pear on the nose. Nicely frothy on entry, it is crisp and refreshing, with a lightly creamy mouthfeel, medium body, medium-plus acidity and good balance. The mid-palate is nicely sustained with an interesting texture. I detected flavors of green apple, lemon, light minerality and sourdough toast, along with notes of grapefruit and almond butter. The toasty flavors linger for quite a while in the finish. There is plenty of body to make this a nice cocktail sipper or serve with sushi. - Mark

Winemaker Notes: This passion project born in 2022 has been something we've wanted to do for several years. We are so happy to be able to pass this passionate Sparkling Chenin on to you. Made from 100% Chenin Blanc. This wine opens up with inviting notes of grapefruit, lemon zest and almonds followed by subtle toasty bread notes. The mousse is creamy on the pallet with fine gentle bubbles, flavors are toasty and nutty with apple and chamomile flowers with a crisp and dry finish. This a great sipping wine and perfect to enjoy with oysters, shellfish, and sushi. But don't forget our favorite pairing, truffle potato chips.
