Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant wild strawberry bouquet with a hint of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, elegant and juicy. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild black raspberry and red plum blend with notes of mild minerality. It also detected hints of dried herbs, black cherry and red currant. The finish is dry and delicate. This very good Pinot would pair well with a grilled pork chop. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Lenné South Slope Pinot Noir is entirely estate fruit and nearly 80% Pommard clone with the balance the 115 clone. The 2017 has dark Bing cherry, currant and mocha aromas. On the palate the wine is focused, with dense fruit without ever being heavy and a long finish. The wine will show improvement for a decade or more.
