Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir opens with an old smokehouse and strawberry bouquet with hints of rusty iron. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild wild strawberry with notes of minerality and cola. While not overly complex, the Panel felt this Pinot was very pleasant. It finishes dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this gentle and food friendly Pinot with pork tenderloin or veal chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Lenne Pinot had red and black fruits with Bing cherry and mocha aromatics. This wine is nearly half Pommard and the other half a blend of the four other estate clones, 115, 114, 667 and 777. A beauty now, this will continue to improve over the next 6 to 10 years from release.
