Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Left Coast Cellars is a very good value. It is hard to find a Pinot this good, at this price. It opens with a very inviting blueberry and acai berry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black plum with nicely integrated oak and minerality. I also detected a hint of cola and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins stick around for quite some time after the wine is gone. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair well with pork medallions with Pinot Noir-cherry pan sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Supple and open in texture, this wine offers a mouthful of ripe plum and cherry flavors that mingle with floral and spicy notes.
