Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Shiraz from the Margaret River region in Australia really impressed the panel. It opens with a red cherry and pomegranate bouquet with some whiffs of black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a luscious black cherry and blueberry blend with a hint of menthol. The finish is dry and its gentle tannins are friendly. The panel suggested serving this impressive and tasty Shiraz with pork tenderloin or duck. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep violet with brilliant purple edges. The nose shows cracked pepper with ripe blackberry, plums and mulberries, alongisde hints of chocolate and dusty oak. The full palate continues with plum and blackberry fruits, displaying wonderful intensity of fruit. Fine tannins draw the flavors out across the palate with great persistence. This is an immaculately structured and seamless wine, one of the best produced at Leeuwin Estate.
