Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Tempranillo opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with hints of oak, new leather and cream de cassis. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a blend of cassis and blackberry with notes of integrated cedar, plum and minerality. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and very dusty tannins last for quite some time. This wine will appeal to fans of big and bold Zins. I would serve this fruit bomb with barbecue steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Contains an expressive and perfumed nose, with abundant aromas of red fruit, sweet spice, black licorice and roasted coffee. Fresh and well-balanced on the palate, this wine has a smooth entry and round, gentle tannins that invite one to keep drinking. A fine, modern red wine from the Spanish Duero Valley, Mas de Leda is meant to be enjoyed with a wide variety of foods.
