Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a prune like bouquet with a hint of oak and blackberry in the background. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a spicy and extracted blackberry and oak with a good dose of black pepper throughout. The finish is rather dry and its very big tannins are sticky and linger for quite sometime. This wine would appeal to port drinkers. It is very substantial in style. Pair it with a fatty cut of gilled ribeye. Enjoy – Ken
