Wine Review: In a blind tasting you would never know this wine is from Sancerre. Most would guess high end New Zealand. It is light straw colored and opens with fragrant gooseberry and grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty yellow grapefruit with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of lemon. The finish is dry and very refreshing. Fans of this style are really going to like this wine. I would serve it with marinated swordfish skewers. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A pale gold color with green hints, this stunning Sancerre first entices with notes of box tree and stinging nettle flowers, unfolding quickly to reveal peach skin and exotic fruit aromas with underlying pebbles, reminiscent of the flintly soil. The supple, round palate offers a balanced acidity and notes of peach and tangerine that are supported by a beautiful minerality.
