Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley is very very good. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of strawberry and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich for a Pinot. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry-cola with notes of gentle oak. I also detected hints of black raspberry and vanilla. The finish is dry and its well-managed mild tannins and fruit, drift away nicely. This is a very nice Pinot to drink on its own. It would also go well with food. I would choose a grilled Norwegian salmon steak. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This delicious, sustainably-farmed wine has aromas of perfumed blackberry with floral and spice notes of cinnamon, clove and anise. Dark fruit flavors of blueberry and black plum lead to a rich mid palate with complex mineral notes and a lingering fruit finish. The Lazy Creek Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir is delicious paired with braised meats, fowl, veal, salmon, lobster and prawns.
