Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Gamay from the commune of Morgon Côte du Py opens with a red raspberry and black cherry bouquet with hints of violets and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and has nice palate coverage. The flavor profile is red raspberry and loam blend with notes of black tea and black currant. I also detected hints of black plum and saline. The finish is dry and its grippy and dusty tannins are very extended. This Gamay would pair well with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The best parcel in Morgon, at the footsteps of the Côte du Py hill. The grapes harvested here are very representative of the best this appellation can offer. It gives a bright purple-hued wine that we mature in oak barrels. It’s typical aromas of kirsch with peppery notes are well blended with animal notes. Ideal for rich meals, with complex flavors, like duck with peaches.
