Wine Review: This midnight blue colored Cabernet Franc from Lang and Reed opens with a pleasant blueberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, wonderfully balanced, smooth and silky. The flavor profile is a tasty mineral infused blueberry with notes of black cherry, gentle oak and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild acidity lingers and lasts for a while. This Cab Franc would be perfect with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: What a difference a year makes! 2012 was a picture perfect growing season, ending with the harvest of Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard in early October. This is our sixth vintage from this unique terrior. The aromas are expressive of violet, dark chocolate and cherry; the varietal purity of the flavors on the palate are expansive and long lasting. This wine, elegant and balanced, will stand the test of time.
