Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a mild black cherry bouquet with hint of mild oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black currant and black cherry with notes of old oak and a hint of plum. The finish is dry and it's fine tannins are easy going and friendly. This wine would pair well with many foods. I would choose veal scallopini with a brown mushroom sauce. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Estate grown, produced and bottled, our 2007 Lancaster Estate Cabernet is intense with dark stone fruit, blackberry, and white pepper with hints of chocolate dust. The red plum and heritage rose aromas compliment finely textured tannins while the earthy finish rounds out the toast and complexity. Aged 28 months in French oak barrels, this wine was bottled unfiltered.
