Wine Review: This pale straw colored unoaked Chard opens with a very mild red apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild Bosc pear with notes of golden delicious apple. I also picked up hints of tangerine, apricot and minerality as well. The finish is dry and its flavors linger nicely after the wine is gone. This Chard from the Finger Lakes is a really nice offering and quite affordable as well. I would pair it with a chicken florentine calzone. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our first ever unoaked Chardonnay. Fruit for this wine was specially chosen in the vineyard for balance and harvested at the peak of ripeness. Enjoy with fish, poultry and artisan cheeses.
