Wine Review: This Chardonnay from the Finger Lakes is for oak lovers. It is light white gold colored and opens with a fragrant vanilla oak and apple bouquet with a hint of butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a Brach's butterscotch candy with notes of apple and hints of oak. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. This flavorful Chardonnay would pair well with pasta carbonara or ziti with Alfredo sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tropical fruit with subtle scents of Hazelnut and spice on the nose are followed by generous fruit flavors, a smooth texture, and a bright balanced acidity. Carrying on a longstanding tradition of excellence, the 2008 Chardonnay is 100% estate grown and is the perfect blend of our five estate vineyards. Enjoy as an apertif or pair it with seafood, white meats, or Artisan cheeses.
