Wine Review: This yellow colored Chardonnay from Lafond is for fans of an oak-styled Chard. Its 100% barrel fermented and 100% malolactic fermentation was used. It opens with fragrant oak and pear like bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is butter cream with notes of lemon and oak and a touch of honey and spice. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Chard is food friendly and would pair nicely with pasta carbonara. Enjoy – Ken
