Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Pinot Noir from LaMontagne is very good. It opens with an inviting gentle black raspberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and pretty juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty stewed black plum with notes of clove spice and boysenberry. I also detected nicely integrated oak and hints of cherry-cola towards the end. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors linger for a very long time. This Pinot is ideal to enjoy on its own.
