Wine Review: This light gold colored Albarino from Rias Baixas opens with a golden delicious apple bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Anjou pear with hints of green apple and a touch of honey. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this food friendly and affordable Albarino with steamed mussels in garlic broth. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine has an intense and clean straw-yellow colour with bright green tones. On the nose it shows aromas of fresh herbs and laurel with fine floral and lemon notes as well as white stone fruits. In the mouth it is fresh and rich, with citrus notes and a long finish.
