Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Malbec from Argentina is a rock star. It is really hard to find wines this good under $20. It opens with a mild boysenberry bouquet with a hint of black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very very tasty boysenberry with hints of plum and blueberry. The finish is dry and its fine mild tannins linger slightly. This wine is a terrific drinking Malbec. I would enjoy it with some messy ribs at a barbecue this summer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful red/purple color with aromas of black cherries, dark fruits, dark chocolate and baker's spice. On the palate, the wine shows dense dark berry and plum flavors along with hints of sandalwood and spice, and even a hint of violets in the finish. This is a full-bodied and well-structured wine that is incredibly full of life and born to be enjoyed with food and friends. Goes great with everything from hamburgers and chicken to pizza and mild cheeses. An awesome value to boot.
