Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain opens with a blackberry and cocoa bouquet with hints of cigar box and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mineral influenced black currant and olive blend with hints of black tea and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, a bit astringent and displays some sticky dusty tannins. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with beef brisket or lamb shanks. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The 2013 La Jota Cabernet Sauvignon flavors impart brambly blackberry, espresso bean, toast and gravely minerality. Classic Howell Mountain, full bodied, well balanced with a lengthy finish.
