Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet with hints of leather, eucalyptus, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with notes of minerality and faint smoky oak. The finish is dry and its pronounced moderate dusty tannins linger for quite some time. The panel suggested pairing it with beef bourguignon or Moroccan lamb skewers. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon has deep berry aromas and flavors accented by notes of anise and bittersweet chocolate. Classic, full-on Howell Mountain texture supports this wine right through the lengthy finish and will allow it to age for decades in the bottle.
