Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain won our Big Blind High End Red tasting by 2 points! It opens with a very inviting and very fragrant blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, super smooth and polished. The flavor profile is a delicious blueberry with notes of cherry cola and mild oak. The finish is dry and its moderate building tannins show terrific length. The panel loved this wine and it is an exceptional value at $65. The panel suggested pairing this excellent wine with a dry-aged cowboy Ribeye. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a blend of the four classic Bordeaux varieties. This blend presents calmness to the tannic signature commonly associated with the Howell Mountain appellation. On the palate, enjoy classic Howell Mountain flavors of blackberry, shale, earth, rosemary and espresso bean.
