Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Carneros is Very Good and got two thumbs up from Theresa. It opens with a wet stone and mild lemon bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and rather approachable. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle apple with notes of nicely integrated oak, butter and hints of pear. It is very Burgundian in style. The finish is dry and its flavors sail away nicely. This Chardonnay would pair well with pasta carbonara. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This excellent vintage brought forth all the juicy character, depth and concentration possible in Los Carneros Chardonnay. On the nose, Meyer lemon takes center stage, complemented by subtle toast, heather and allspice aromas. The generous palate offers broad flavors of yellow apple, custard, tangerine and toffee. Seamless and full –bodied, this opulent release is balanced by fresh acidity and a lingering finish of sweet spice.
