Wine Review: This dark ruby Pinot from La Crema is a real quaffer. It opens with a fragrant and appealing black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and very easy going. The flavor profile is a delicate mild black currant with notes of black pepper and plum. The finish is dry and its mild oak tannins linger slightly. This Pinot would be a perfect wine with a gourmet Angus burger smothered in sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: In the glass, brooding, earthy aromas meld with juicy ripe plum, punctuated by lovely notes of black tea. The palate echoes the plum filled nose, joined by black licorice and cocoa powder. A subtle earthiness leads to a generous, fleshy mid-palate and a smooth, mineral-laced finish.
